Just when you think you can skip the shitty service where staff are rude, slow, and reluctant to engage customers, their delivery service has proven even worse! Dine-in will take 30mins minimum for service even when the place is practically empty. When the food arrives it is nothing different from other places, and not very fresh either. Their fried foods are drowned in oil and looks like they never change the oil nor heat it up properly so that it fries rather than soaks oil.They serve bubble tea too--the worst Ive ever had, during the few times they get the order right. Out of nowhere, your bland bubble tea will be half melted slush, and not just iced either. Its as if the bubble tea was as half-assed as the effort the person put into it, as if it wasnt sure what it was supposed to be--water or bubble tea, slush or regular drink with ice in it. Perhaps the servers there take 30-40 mins to serve you sub-par food because no one understands or speaks much English. Or because they have so few patrons they have to take everything out of the freezer to dethaw on the spot. Whatever the case, delivery was actually even more terrible. The server insisted I give my credit card info over the phone, because apparently their business does not support a delivery man who operates a credit machine--OR more likely, because they are so accustomed to customers cancelling their order AFTER WAITING AN HOUR for their order, that they force you to pay up so you CANT cancel it. I have officially waited over an hour, and when I called back, they told me to wait another 15. Im estimating it will be over an hour and half before they actually get here--and I LIVE 2 BLOCKS AWAY. I just ordered take out because their service is THAT BAD and they are the nearest sushi place to me. Their shitty california roll was $4 pre tax, and smaller than sushi garden and other places with much cheaper prices. They also often run out of ingredients and flavors so that items on the menu arent actually available. I have to alter my order every 2/3 times and I usually grab take-out in hopes its faster--and yet end up sitting there for 30-40 mins anyway though the place is usually empty. They seem to think their overpriced items about 15% more expensive than other places have some sort of qualitative value that gives them the right to charge this much for garbage. So my order finally arrives, my matcha slush is 100% liquified and the powder is sitting clearly at the bottom. The clamari is scan, rubbery and soggy from the long wait--when I called them the second time the lying server on the phone assured me my food wouldnt be soggy after an hour had passed, and yet its so soggy and rubbery now this in no way resembles calamari. The chicken teriyaki is also completely dry, I think they forgot the teriyaki sauce... The cali roll is also tiny. I ordered 4 small items an it took them an hour and 20 mins to get here when they are 2 blocks away. The only thing more disgusting than their food is their terrible and dishonest service. A liquified slush with powder at the bottom, a rubbery soggy calamari, a tiny cali roll and a chicken udon that looks stale and 1 piece masago sushi came up to $36. I am ordering pizza from now on. By the way they are extremely rude Mandarin Chinese business with not a lick of authenticity. I am Chinese born Canadian and this is the worst and most dishonest sleazy service I have ever experienced from any Chinese-run restaurant. |
